Bali's greatest charm, perhaps, is its wide range and variety of sites. You can dive in Bali on a steel shipwreck, over sand slopes, off-vertical drop-offs, along deep coral-covered ridges, in roaring currents, with manta rays, sharks, or small nudibranchs in many colors. In short, there's diving for all.
East Bali offers a big variety of different dive sites, from volcanic black sand and wreck dives in Tulamben to spectacular drift dives around Candidasa & Nusa Penida and semi muck dives in Padang Bai.
Average water temperature: Tulamben is 28 degrees all year round; Padang Bai, Candidasa & Nusa Penida is 28 degrees from November to July; Padang Bai, Candidasa & Nusa Penida is 21 degrees with temperatures down to 18 degrees from August to October.
