The Galapagos is known as one of the best scuba diving destinations in the world for large and rare marine life. You can find schooling hammerhead sharks, giant manta rays, the ultra-rare marine iguanas, manta rays, turtles, and many more. Galapagos' best sites can be found at the ultra-remote Wolf and Darwin Islands, accessible only by liveaboard.
There aren't many liveaboards in Galapagos, so booking early is a must. Most liveaboards depart from San Cristobal (SCY) or Baltra (GPS), so check your embarkation port carefully.
