More information about Bali diving
Tulamben's highlight is the USAT Liberty wreck, a major dive attraction lying between 20 and 100 feet (6 to 30 meters) deep. The wreck, accessible from shore, features diverse marine life such as bumphead parrotfish, jacks, and barracuda. Nearby, the Drop-Off offers a stunning coral wall, while Seraya Secrets provides excellent muck diving. Blackwater diving is also popular in Tulamben, adding to its appeal.
Amed features diverse dive sites, including muck, macro, and coral reefs, while Gili Selang, known for strong currents, occasionally sees hammerhead sharks. Divers should be experienced and guided by professionals due to the potential for powerful currents and challenging conditions.
Nusa Penida is famous for dive sites like Manta Point, where manta rays visit cleaning stations. Crystal Bay is sought after for mola mola sightings, particularly from July to mid-November. The strong currents at Nusa Penida require attention to dive briefings and site-specific precautions.
Padang Bai offers a variety of dive sites suitable for all skill levels, easily accessible from traditional jukungs. The sites feature diverse fish and macro life, with clear, calm conditions making it a great spot for beginners and snorkelers. The area also provides access to nearby dive destinations like the Gili Islands and Nusa Penida.
