Detailed information about the itinerary
Komodo
Komodo National Park is located within the Lesser Sunda Islands in the border region between the provinces of East Nusa Tenggara and West Nusa Tenggara. The park includes the three larger islands Komodo, Padar and Rinca, and 26 smaller ones, with a total area of 1,733 km2 (603 km2 of its land). Later it was dedicated to protecting other species, including marine species and in 1991 the park was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Komodo National Park has been selected as one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature, and is part of the Coral Triangle, which contains some of the richest marine biodiversity on Earth. There are over 100 different dive sites, more than 1000 species of fish, 350 different types of coral and over 1000 individual mantas have been identified.

Raja Ampat
Raja Ampat, The Four Kings, is an archipelago comprising over 1,500 beautiful small islands, surrounding the four main islands of Waigeo, Batanta, Salawati, and Misool. Most sites are only accessible by liveaboard which means they are peaceful, breath-taking locations with an amazing array of sea life. The name Raja Ampat is believed to have originated from folklore where a lady finds seven eggs, four of which hatch and become kings of the four main islands, while the other three eggs became a woman, a ghost, and a stone.
The territory within the islands of the Four Kings is enormous, covering 9.8 million acres of land and sea (so endless possibilities for liveaboard diving!), home to 540 types of coral, more than 1,000 types of fish and 700 types of mollusc. This makes it the most diverse living library in the world, with around 75% of the worlds species living here. Raja Ampats sheer numbers and diversity of marine life and its huge pristine coral reef systems are a scuba divers dream come true and a fantastic place for snorkellers too.

The area was made a National Park in 1980 to protect the Komodo dragon, the worlds largest lizard.
