Detailed information about the itinerary
Indonesia Dive Overview
Forming one corner of the 'Coral Triangle', the epicenter of world marine biodiversity, and containing 20% of the world's coral reefs, it will come as no surprise that this region boasts the most diverse waters in the world. Surprisingly, Indonesia is the least well-known of the world's best scuba destinations. Dive sites such as Raja Ampat in Irian Jaya, the Banda Islands and Sulawesi are all excellent destinations for a scuba adventure holiday. The liveaboard cruises take you further afield to such magical places as Komodo and the Banda Sea. Komodo is an island famed throughout the world for its legendary dragons, and all liveaboard trips include going ashore to see these incredible creatures in their natural habitat. But it's not all about monitor lizards. Diving around Komodo means world-class reefs full of colors and life with pinnacles and walls, manta rays and maybe even dolphins and dugongs!
Raja Ampat
Raja Ampat is all about diversity - not only diversity of species, but also of dive sites. There are some areas where soft corals and sea fans dominate, others with hard corals, seagrass beds, mangroves, shallow reefs, drop-offs, caves, black sand, and white sandand there are more species of fish life here anywhere else in the world. Here, all the levels of the food chain are well represented from pygmy seahorses to top predators. In many places, brightly colored soft corals can be found close to the surface which, illuminated by natural sunlight, make these dive sites spectacularly colorful. The reefs in Raja Ampat just buzz with life!

Komodo National Park has one of the world's richest marine environments. It consists of over 260 species of reef-building coral, 70 different species of sponges, crustaceans, cartilaginous fishes (including manta ray and sharks), over a 1,000 different species of bony fishes, as well as marine reptiles and marine mammals such as dolphins, whales, and dugongs.

Just returned form a 10 liveaboard in Raja Ampat with Blue Manta. This trip exceeded expectations in every category. The boat and accommodations were wonderful...Large cabins and private baths, AC that worked wonderfully, spacious dive deck with personal cubbies for divers to store there stuff at each tank spot, a dedicated camera/charging room for charging all your devices. Food was wonderful with Indonesian and western choices and you could chose to eat in the dining hall or take your meals al fresco on the covered upper deck. On board amenities included laundry service (so bring less clothes), and massages. Wifi is available, but limited by MBs but I would recommend you purchase a SIM or e-sim card at the Jakarta airport as many locations had cell service. The diving did not disappoint. Clear, warm water, and so much marine life! This is the place for tons of schooling fish and abundant macro - don't expect to see large animals, although you will probably be graced by some sharks, mantas, and turtles. The dive guides are super experienced and can spot the tiniest of pygmy seahorses, shrimps and crabs. The dive crew takes care of everything with your gear if you want them too. They even had warm water showers right when you get off the skiff for rinsing. Our dive director, Cedric, set the bar for excellence and created a great itinerary and handled any issues immediately. ALready planning for a return trip in 2026!

We were completely blown away with how amazing our trip on the Blue Manta was.Highlights:- Our first dinner was marlin steaks, and then the food continued to be chef quality for every meal for the rest of the trip. There was also free unlimited Coke Zero, which was a huge plus for me.- Our room on the upper deck was amazing. Despite being on a boat, it was a reasonably spacious room with air conditioning, a private bathroom, and a nice view.- The boat had multiple indoor and outdoor lounging areas that were all quite comfortable.- Before each dive, the boat's manager Cedric gave the highest quality dive briefings I've ever seen. Good briefings are important in Komodo, since there can be strong and unpredictable currents, and Cedric knocked it out of the park.- All of the divemasters were friendly, competent, and safety-minded. They also took good care of our equipment. They also had larger 15L tanks for rent, which was a nice bonus for me, since my air consumption tends to be worse than others.- Komodo was an amazing dive destination. The Blue Manta also does trips to Raja Ampat and the Banda Sea. With how much we liked both the boat and the staff, we would happily dive with them anywhere.
