More information about Palau diving
Although not a traditional dive site, snorkeling in Jellyfish Lake is an iconic Palauan experience. The lake is filled with non-stinging golden jellyfish, offering a serene and otherworldly photo opportunity. The jellyfish migrate across the lake daily, following the sun. The surrounding mangroves host small marine species like gobies and sponges, adding to the uniqueness of the experience. Scuba diving is not allowed here, but snorkeling provides a perfect way to explore the lake.

Palau Pacific Resort, nestled in the stunning Palauan landscape, offers a lovely tropical getaway. The resort's best features include its beautiful sand beach and cove, perfect for snorkeling enthusiasts. The environment at Palau Pacific Resort is serene, with extensive gardens and saltwater pools that often serve as habitats for fish and turtles undergoing rehabilitation. The resort offers various accommodation options, including water bungalows with direct access to the water, although some may be too shallow for swimming during low tide. The rooms are well-maintained, with daily housekeeping, a range of toiletries provided, slippers, robes, and WiFi throughout.Meals at the Palau Pacific Resort were a bit mixed. While the breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious, offering a range of choices, the lunch and dinner options were lacking both in food variety and service quality. The resort's bar offers the same menu as the restaurant but with slightly better service, providing a pleasant atmosphere for drinks. The long fixed jetty offered a secure and convenient pick-up point for guests and diving operators and other water sports.Overall, Palau Pacific Resort's stunning beachfront location, well-appointed rooms, and excellent snorkeling opportunities make it a worthwhile destination. However, improvements in food choices and service during lunch and dinner would enhance the overall guest experience.

I chose to stay at the Palau Pacific Resort after reading some reviews and getting recommendations from other divers. I'm glad I did! This is a beautiful property with lush grounds that include tropical plants and a saltwater pond filled with reef fish and rays. The garden view room I stayed in, looked out onto the pond. My room had a king size bed, a/c, flat-screen TV, and free wifi. There was also a small patio right outside. It was kept immaculate by housekeeping and was a comfortable home away from home during my stay. When I wasn't scuba diving, I spent a lot of time in the gorgeous infinity pool, on the beautiful white sand beach, on the resort’s hiking trail, or at their awesome bar. Every staff member was gracious and friendly. They tried their best to accommodate my every wish. The resort also has a spa, gym, tennis courts, and a gift shop. I ate at the buffet breakfast every morning. It is a very extensive assortment of eastern and western foods. The quality was extraordinary. Room service is also offered. I ate lunches provided by my off-site dive operator and dinners at several different restaurants within a short distance of the resort. Splash Palau is the on-site dive operator featuring a dive center, dive trips, and rental gear. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again.

Palau Pacific Resort has a beautiful setting on the ocean. This resort has buffet style dinning and is themed each night and changes during the week. Shore diving is available on site and you can see giant clams along with cuttlefish on this shore dive. Dive boats pick you up right from the resorts dock which makes things easy. The resort also includes a great spa.
