Dive Information
Anilao is often debated to be the top dive destination for muck diving, with a vast number of critters most sought out by underwater photographers. Anilao, and the neighboring Tingloy island also has world class Coral reef diving, with some exceptional sites close to the resort and a little further away. The Verde Island passage brings clear waters to Tingloy, and its famous Sombrero island, offering some amazing coral dives with some exceptional visibility.
Dive Center Information
Blue Ribbon Dive Resort has always had a prime focus on safety. Before every dive a full dive briefing is made on shore, ensuring groups are split up between divemasters (4 to 1 ratio) according to skill level, rate of air consumption, or photographers vs non photographers. A fully fitted camera room has been designed by one of the owners, to meet every underwater photographers needs. The boats are a lot larger than most other boats in Anilao, which means there is a spot to hide from the sun, and more space for more toys such as cameras and scooters.
Unlike many other resorts in Anilao that rely on freelance dive professionals and freelance boats, Blue Ribbon has their own team of instructors, divemasters and boat crew on site, so that theycan maintain a level of safety which you just cannot do if you are relying on different boatmen and divemasters for every dive.
