InterContinental Tahiti Room Overview
The 245 well-appointed guestrooms and overwater bungalows are spread across our property throughout the gardens and over the lagoon. The InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa will be renovating the last three buildings of the resort to complete its full renovation project. The renovation will start April 1st, 2018 and will last up until December 1st, 2018. During this period, standard, garden, and lagoon view rooms will not be available.
Classic Room
- Polynesian-inspired furniture and natural timber floors are combined with patterned fabrics and original paintings to create a sophisticated ambiance in the airy Standard rooms. Slide open the glass doors, step on to the private balcony and take in the enticing views of the gardens or lagoon.

Dive Overview
Tahiti will offer you your first introduction into the rich, tropical waters of French Polynesia. The incredible biodiversity of the dive sites showcases the rich flora and fauna, from colourfull nudibranchs to Lemon sharks. Tahiti is also the ideal island to learn scuba diving with some perfect dive sites in the lagoon-like “the aquarium” or “the wrecks”. Don’t miss the most spectacular and unique dive – the Tahiti Shark experience, where certified divers get to discover, in a perfectly safe and risk-free atmosphere, Polynesia’s most common species of shark – the Whitetip reef shark, the Blacktip reef shark and the Lemon shark!
Inter-island Gold Pass
With their 6, 10 or 20-dive inter-island Gold pass, you can dive on 6 islands: Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora, Rangiroa, Fakarava and Tikehau. The package is only for certified divers and can be used by 2 divers in any of the TOPDIVE centers and with Tahiti diving.
Free Nitrox Diving in French Polynesia
Scuba diving with enriched nitrox air allows for no more decompression dive time. This means more time underwater, especially on repetitive scuba dives. In all TOPDIVE centers, Nitrox dives are offered at no extra charge for all Nitrox certified divers. For non-certified divers, they offer Nitrox PADI certifications, SSI, FFESSM/CMAS, ANMP/Cedip and PADI.
Blue Honeymoon Dive
This private dive will be organized just for you and your loved one, accompanied by your own diving instructor and an instructor that will capture your most memorable undersea moments on camera. This excursion is available at TOPDIVE dive centers TAHITI, MOOREA & BORA BORA. Excursion includes: 2 introductory dives with a private instructor, shell leis, a refreshing after-dive fruit drink and your romantic dive recorded on USB driver!
Discover Shark Diving
The Polynesian waters play host to many different species of sharks. With our experienced divemasters at TOPDIVE, we can assure the safest possible conditions in order for you to observe and marvel at the beauty of this mysterious creature. TOPDIVE Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora, Rangiroa and Fakarava dive centers offer a SSI specialty course called, SSI Shark Ecology. Its purpose is to allow any certified diver the opportunity to identify, recognize and describe shark species in relaxed and secure conditions. The standard dive rule-of-thumb for observation of these species is usually to be slightly negatively buoyant as to adhere close to the sea floor, and not to attract too much attention. Main species in French Polynesia: The White tip lagoon shark, The Grey reef shark, Blacktip reef shark, Lemon shark. During the course of your dives, you may encounter other shark species like the Silvertip shark, the Silky shark, the oceanic whitetip shark, the Tiger shark and even the Whale shark.
Dolphins and Whales watching around Tahiti
You can come to approach and watch dolphins playing near the passes of Tahiti throughout the year (except for whales season) and encounter whales around Tahiti every year, from August to October. During wales season, they also offer whales watching around Bora Bora in private tour.
