The dive professionals and staff aboard the Pacific Master were first rate and did everything they could to make our adventure memorable and safe. We were very impressed with the dive masters, cruise director and deck crew and they worked very hard from before the sun rose to late into the night. Our cabins were impressively cleaned. The cooks and serving staff did all they could to make our meals hot and delicious, particularly given the limitations on what they have available to them on island. The dive deck is a bit small when the charter is full and there wasn't much of a camera table on the dive deck to work with. Additionally the exhaust blows out on the dive deck and on some days the fumes were a bit much, so in my experience there have been better layouts on other boats. The staterooms were comfortable....we had a bathroom in ours but not every berthing did. The wreck diving was absolutely fabulous and the dive teams did everything to make it a positive experience

This destination is definitely a tech divers dream and the majority of folks on our boat fit the bill. That said, the recreational diving (of which I am one) was also very good with up to 4 dives/day. Our charter included 15 different WWII wrecks, some of which were done multiple times. One site was a Destroyer, another a sub, another an airplane and the rest were primarily transport ships complete with torpedoes, ammunition, gas masks, telegraphs and even encrusted tanks and old trucks in the holds. One should be familiar with diving in enclosed spaces and this is probably not the site for you if you are claustrophobic because there are a lot of enclosed spaces. Bring a good flashlight/torch. Depending on who's diving with you, significant sediment can be kicked up so excellent neutral buoyancy skills are required for everyone to have a good time and be able to see what's in the holds. As for marine life, not a lot of big things....we saw one shark and a couple of turtles, but the hard/soft corals, sea whips and metal have created an amazing habitat for aquarium fish nurseries (chromies, damsels, blennies, anthias, anemone fish and more). Lots of razor clams as well. The masts are just stunning with all the soft and hard corals and there are many coral groupers hiding in there. Saw some healthy schools of big eye trevally, barracuda and dusk dives brought out the bigger fish.
