Beqa Lagoon Resort
We spent four nights here and were pleasantly surprised by the staff and accomodations. The staff are friendly and responsive and the close links to the local village are fantastic. We had a number of events where we could either visit the village, or the dancers would come over for a show. Our accomodation was ocean front with a small plunge pool and it was perfect. Plenty of space, comfortable bed and large closets, safe, toiletries.
The restaurant was well-organized and the food was of a high standard. I do not eat gluten or dairy so it was limited at times, but they were very good at being careful about this. The fish was delicious!
The diving was variable. The first day was disapointing with poor visitibility and not too much to see. The rest of the dives were better, with some current, beautiful soft and hard corals. The highlight was the shark dives. We weren't too keen on shark feeding, but after hearing why they do this (?) decided to go. It felt relatively safe and we were lucky enough to see two tiger sharks stuffing their faces! They did come incredibly close, forcing us to duck out of the way a few times!
All in all, a lovely resort and worth visiting if you are interested in seeing tiger sharks.
