As the name suggests, this area is best known as one of the world's best and most reliable locations for tiger shark encounters. Cat Island
Season: April to May
The pristine Cat Island is another beginner-friendly scuba diving area, with the untouched landscape, laid-back environment, and the famous eight-mile Pink Sand Beach. To scuba divers, Cat Island is best known for reliable encounters with the Oceanic whitetips among other things.
Bimini
Season: January to March
Also a beginner-friendly destination, Bimini offers a great chance to see hammerhead sharks, Caribbean reef sharks, nurse sharks, and bull sharks. Dolphins are also quite commonly spotted while diving.
