Felt very much at home at the friendly Divi Flamingo. My non-diving (but snorkeler) spouse had a great time, too, which is an important plus. Loved that Divi was so close to town. I took the 3-tank boat diving package and loved it. Great short boat rides, great marine life, relaxed crew, unlimited shore diving on great house reef, Nitrox available at a good price. Saw a (rare, for Bonaire) Manta Ray. Hope to go again soon!
Our room was an upgraded room...it was on the water and had a balcony...but we spent most of our time outside or in town.
The resort had two nice pools, a restaurant and a couple of bars. There is a casino on site but we aren't gamblers so we never even stepped inside.
When not snorkeling, my wife spent most of her time by the pool or on the beach reading...that is what she likes on vacation. Bonaire is not really a very exciting place if you are not a water person. There is great windsurfing on the windy side of island but we only watched on our last non-diving day.
Resort is on the old side and a little rundown (but clean and refurbished) but the people and the dive op and boats are top notch. Great buffet breakfast everyday.
Sea horses and frog fish are the special treats in terms of marine life. Whole island is protected and has been protected for many years.
