My friends and I dove La Paz with Cortez Club Scuba to experience diving w/ Sea Lions. We had booked through Bluewater Travel with Tristyn who included our hotel stay at La Concha Beach Resort, which is adjacent to Cortez Club Scuba. We received exceptional service and couldn't have felt more welcome by Cortez Club. We were greeted by Hose the day before our dive to drop off gear and finalize paperwork. Hose couldn't have been more gracious and offered a driver to escort my friends & I into La Paz. We took the offer and had a wonderful lunch and visit to the city.

The next day of diving provided an even better experience. Pablo (our Divemaster) and Ray (boat Captain), had our dive gear setup and we proceeded to the Sea Lion colony 1.5 hr boat ride. The ride was smooth and the scenery along the way was Beautiful. We were the 1st boat to the dive site which also includes snorkelers from other resorts. Being the 1st boat to arrive was very important to our experience as we avoided crowds which appeared later (towards the end of our dive day).

The dives included lunch, beverages, and snacks. The dive briefing was very complete and included safety precautions for how to dive with the Sea Lions. This is important as Sea Lions can be extremely playful and mischievous. I felt totally Safe due to Pablo's competent dive skills. He allowed us to interact safely with the Sea Lions and helped to make the whole experience Fun and memorable. We did 2 dives at the colony and Pablo also escorted us into a small swim through. We were able to take pictures of the aquatic life.

We did a 2nd day of diving and explored other dive sites that included an artificial reef alive with Moray Eels, Scorpionfish, Parrot Fish and other colorful Nudibranch's. On our 2nd dive day Cortez Club took our boat closer to the shore where we could had a much closer view the Beautiful coast of Mexico!

I would not hesitate to dive again with Cortez Club Scuba and would suggest using Tristyn (Tristyn@bluewaterdivetravel.com) if you are in La Paz looking for a wonderful dive experience.
