How to Get There 

After getting on an international flight to Manila, guests then take another short flight to the Francisco B. Reyes Airport (USU) to arrive at the Sangat Island Dive Resort. Guests also have the option to take an overnight ferry from Manila to Coron, the closest ferry terminal. The 16-hour boat ride makes for a less expensive and culturally enlightening alternative to the typical domestic flight.

Dive Overview 

Coron, Palawan is the perfect dive spot for seeing teaming aquatic life and visiting untouched dive sites. The province is also known for the many historically significant Japanese wrecks that were sunk there during World War II. With striking undersea wildlife and comfortable diving temperatures, Coron ensures an adventurous and breathtaking adventure.

Types of Rooms, Amenities and Photos

SANGAT ISLAND Dive Resort Room Overview 

The Sangat Island Resort offers 23 native-styled accommodations, all with the essentials of a world-class resort. All rooms have been constructed according to the durable and time-honored techniques of artisans in the local area,  laboriously assembled from the finest materials available locally. All accommodations also include large mosquito-netted windows, ceiling fans, ample lighting, 220-volt electrical outlets, and western-style bathroom facilities.

BEACHSIDE CHALETS

The ten beachside chalets offer a 6x7 meter living area, complete with two double beds and a bay-view terrace. The accommodation features a spectacular view of Coron Bay, only a few meters away from the beachfront. Each beachside accommodation also includes an exterior bay-view terrace complete with sunbeds and a shaded hammock. 

HILLSIDE CHALETS

The resort also offers another ten 6x7 meter hillside chalets that are complete with two double beds and a bay-view terrace. Similar to the beachside rooms, the hillside accommodations also include sunbeds and a hammock on the terrace. The grass-edged beachfront is a 30-second walk from each room. 

LAMBINGAN VILLA

Their largest and most exclusive accommodation is the Lambingan Villa. The tri-level, two-bedroom suits come with its own private, white sand beachfront. This ultra-secluded getaway has been masterfully crafted into a cove of limestone and is only accessible by kayak or a hanging footbridge. The villa contains an open-area entertainment area and hammock lounge as well as a rock-enclosed Balinese-inspired shower grotto. Here, guests can wash away the salt and sand as freshwater cascades from a fissure in the rocks above. The second-floor room contains two queen-size beds, two western toilet facilities, and a fully-stocked mini-bar. The master bedroom is on the third floor, containing a king-size bed and an incredible view of the Coron Bay and an ancient limestone forest.

ROBINSON CRUSOE COTTAGE

The Robinson Crusoe Cottage is the perfect accommodation for three guests. The room includes one queen-sized bed and one additional bed (upon request.) A kitchen area with a gas-fired cooktop, a western-style toilet and shower room, and a shaded terrace are also included in the accommodations. Located on an isolated 100-meter stretch of the beachfront, this cottage is the perfect getaway for guests who prefer a more private and idyllic tropical setting.

The Sangat Dive Resort's open-air, beach-side restaurant and bar is the perfect place for guests to have a relaxing meal and drink after a full day out. The restaurant offers a wide variety of regional and international dishes as well as beverage options. Their "Dining plan" is offered at PHP 2,500 per person, per night and includes three buffet meals, drinking water, coffee, tea, and snacks. Each of the buffet dishes is meticulously planned and prepared, ensuring that only the freshest of ingredients are used. Besides the buffet meal schedule, guests can also order an assortment of snacks and beverages, as well as picnic lunches for other out-of-resort excursions. 

The Sangat Island Bar offers a large selection of alcoholic drinks, including wines and beer. The space includes a comfortable conversation lounge as well as a pool table. The open-air seating of the Rock bar offers a great view of the resort's breathtaking beachfront.

Dive Center Information 

SANGAT Dive Resort Dive Center Overview

The Sangat Island Dive Resort is fitted with a comprehensive on-site dive facility, complete with all the equipment you would need during an underwater adventure. Rebuilt in 2018, the dive center offers first-quality equipment such as tanks, wet suits, fins, dive computers, and more. The resort also has its own Nitrox filling station, powered by dual BAUER K14 compressors and a new LW 280 unit combined with a 280 Coltrisub nitrox membrane.
