Moalboal Dive Overview
Moalboal is located on the southwest side of Cebu Island, at the heart of the Philippines. It’s on a peninsula just in front of the Tañon Strait, with over 20 dive sites for beginners, technical divers, and macro photography enthusiasts. The Scuba Diving in Moalboal offers some of the best marine life, corals, creatures and fish variety in Asia. On any given dive you are likely to see an abundance of reef fish: parrotfish, damselfish, butterflyfish, frogfish, angelfish, and many others. Groupers and snappers are healthy and you may see large schools of blue tang and creole wrasse. You are also likely to encounter hawksbill or green turtles, blue ring octopus, mandarin fish, ghost pipefish and harlequin shrimps. Let’s just say that the scuba diving in Moalboal has a great deal to offer!
Night Diving in Moalboal
Night diving at Kasai Village house reef is fantastic! You can dive any night on the house reef just in front of the resort. You can talk to any of the dive guides, who will be happy to assist you; then simply gear up in the diver preparation area and walk in off the beach. They can also offer one or two night dives (depending on the length of the trip and weather) from the dive boat. Night dives should be finished at 9:00 PM, the latest, but special arrangements can be made to dive extended hours.
Blackwater Diving in Moalboal
Blackwater diving is a very unique way of experiencing night diving. Blackwater diving can only take place over great depths and far from the shoreline. From Kasai Village, Moalboal they go out in the Tanon Strait between the Islands of Cebu and Negros, where the depths vary from 300-800 meters. They use a large light rig in the water to attract ocean critter living on the ocean floor and you will experience the underwater life you’ve never ever seen before. The blackwater diving trip includes 2 dives and dinner on the boat. They leave at 6pm and are usually back around midnight.

They have over 30 years of experience in the business and are ready to make sure that your scuba diving trip in the Philippines becomes the best. Kasai Village offers entry-level scuba courses all the way up to a professional dive education. They specialize in underwater photography, normoxic and hypoxic tec diving, as well as cave exploration, rebreather diving, and scooter diving.
