M/V Mermaid II
I went to Indonesia Bali and Komodo National Park in December. The staff was great and everyone had a chance to see everything on each dive. The water temp varied from 79 to 81 degrees, so 90 percent of the time it was short and a rash guard, but when you hit a thermocline you felt it. The boat has wetsuits and and emergency reg or extra gear to rent if you need more gear. The colors or rich and deep, purples, yellows, oranges, etc. At one site you will dive black sandy bottom with pink and orange hard and soft corals. Awesome The bio diversity ranged from 10 manta rays to the smallest squid or cuttlefish that was the size of a coffee bean. Incredible macro photography. The boat has a professional video/photographer highly recommend his video at the end of the dive about $100 US. Also at the end of the trip they give you an electronic log of all your dives and site maps to show your friends. The cabin are designed to hold to people and you have enough room but the bathroom/shower is small but you get use to it quickly. Food was great, you will gain weight if you want to. Seconds and thirds are not out of the question, not to mention the snacks between dives. We had a shore day and spent it with the Komodo dragons. The park staff were professional and accommodating if you want to get closer to get the ultimate picture. You are always in safe hands. Plan on going again. Great Value for Indonesia, beats shore based any day. I would say the boat is between mid range to luxury.
