Sipadan-Kapalai Dive Resort Accommodation Overview

All 59 wooden chalets offering twin and triple sharing accommodation are attached with a cleverly thought-out balcony which offers the total sought out privacy by the lovers of sunbathing and sun tanning. Chalets are also equipped with bathrooms with shower and bathtub, basic toiletries, coffee and tea making facilities and 220 volts electrical points.

Diver Package

All prices quoted are in Ringgit Malaysia (RM) and exclude Semporna Jetty Fee and Tourism Tax. Package price is per person, based on double occupancy (two people sharing a room). Rates valid until December 31, 2024.

Minimum requirement: at least PADI Open Water recreational dive certificate or equivalent.

• Transfer from Tawau Airport to Semporna and return. (70 minutes)
• Transfer by boat from Semporna (Kapalai private Jetty) – 40 minutes to KAPALAI resort and return (on SIC basis).
• Accommodation at Sipadan-Kapalai Dive Resort on twin sharing basis.
• Fresh Buffet Meals – breakfast/lunch/dinner.
• Afternoon snacks – served at the restaurant daily.
• Tea/Coffee, cold water and cordial – served throughout the day at the restaurant daily.
• Snorkel around the resort.
• Single/Solo traveler is subjected to Single Supplement for OWN CHALET with NO SHARING option (Single Supplement rate: additional 30% from the above package rate)

Diver Package Inclusions 

• 3 guided boat dives daily – except on arrival & departure day with no dive allowed within 24 hours prior to departure flight time

• Unlimited house reef dive in front of Kapalai Dive Centre*
• Night dives in front of KAPALAI Dive Centre - for diver with night dive experience only.
• *Unlimited dive and night dives are unguided dive & must be accompanied by buddy

Dive Sites

Dive spots are extremely close and can be reached in just a few minutes by speedboat and some of them, actually, just by swimming from the dive center pier. For those who are ready to explore more than the tiny marvels of Kapalai’s macro life, can, in just a few minutes, dive in Sipadan (where big fish and turtles abound) or in Mabul (where silky and muddy bottoms offer different and equally pleasant experiences and opportunities to the lovers of "muck diving")

Diving at Kapalai 

• Diving around Kapalai is exceedingly easy and shallow but quite spectacular: the sandy bottom and the spare coral heads host an amazing array of small, often yet-to-be classified, shamelessly colorful subjects, making the diving here an unforgettable experience.
• Home to the weird and techno-colored flamboyant cuttlefish rumbling on the bottom like a miniature tank rippling with fluorescent waves of vermilion, purple, chocolate brown, bright yellow and blinding white, all the time waving and flourishing its paddle-shaped front tentacles like some samurai of yore, looking more like a sensuous orchid than a predatory cephalopod ; it is the domain of the invisible frogfish found in Kapalai in all sorts of shapes, sizes and 
• colors- which despite sometimes being as large as a melon will often escape even from the most trained of wildlife spotters.
• Swimming, creeping, crawling or just simply lying still on the surrounding sand bottoms, hiding among the branching colonies of the shallow surrounding coral reef, ambushing their unwary prey from the hideouts offered by the resort stilts and a few artificial reefs dotting the bottom, an amazing number of rare and unbelievably colorful species play their game of life and death, offering visitor unsurpassed opportunities for interesting observation and macro photography for any discerning photographer
