Banana Beach Ambergris Caye resort has varying accommodations, from standard hotel rooms to Four-bedroom Ocean View Suites. The Four-, Three-, and Two-Bedroom Ocean View Suites feature interconnected layouts, full kitchens, and oceanfront balconies, with Belizean Rattan furnishings and Yucatan-inspired decor. The Two-Bedroom Private Balcony Rooms and One-Bedroom Veranda Rooms include kitchenettes but are not oceanfront. For simpler stays, the One-Bedroom Courtyard Suites and Private Balcony/Veranda Rooms provide comfort with king or twin beds, air conditioning, and modern amenities. Each option ensures a relaxing retreat with thoughtful details and tropical charm.

Dive Information

Blue Hole Diving

The Blue Hole, located in the center of Lighthouse Reef Atoll is a 1000 foot circular coral reef that drops over 400 feet into an incredible cavern. It is filled with stalactites and awe-inspiring natural formations. Half Moon Caye and the Aquarium/Eagle Ray are teaming with marine life and numerous varieties of colorful corals like sponges, fans and gorgonians. These wall dives are the most pristine and exotic dives of Belize. Also enjoy a leisurely picnic on the palm-fringed beach of Half Moon Caye, followed by a visit to the Boobie Bird Sanctuary. Snorkeling is also available.

Local Diving

The Barrier Reef - All of the dives are drift dives, not of strong current, but the dive is planned as a multi-level to extend the bottom time. This is where you can enjoy your dive gliding above the incredible finger canon formations. The reef has an abundance of marine life that divers love as the fish are friendly and the terrain is a joy and wonder to navigate. After your first dive, you are transported to the dive center where you can enjoy a fresh water rinse, fruits and relax for the one-hour surface interval.

Banana Beach partners with Amigos del Mar (off-site) for dive services. The professional staff is dedicated to creating Customer Satisfaction, not just service. The team utilizes the latest tools and technologies to help you in your dive, training activities and safety aspects of diving. They conduct numerous training sessions during the season to ensure that their professional staff are up to date in regards to: First Aid, Equipment Maintenance, Boat Safety Training, Dive Education Training, and Retail Knowledge Sessions.
