Bonaire Eden Beach Resort
We stayed at Eden beach resort which is right on the water with a pier with a ladder that you can dive 24 hours a day. Dive shop on premise was opening all day and clean and convenient.
We had an older room with a musty smell, but for 3 divers it was very good. 2 bedrooms with 1 diver on the couch. 2 floors with a lot of space for dive gear and photo setup. The room was comfortable and spacious two-level apartment with: air-conditioned living room with dining area, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor. No pool. Had a bar near the water, during happy hours it was crowed, otherwise quiet. No food. Internet was decent enough to Skype home.
We typical made our own breakfast each morning and then set out for a day of diving, happy hour at eden and then dinner at a nice restaurant. Pasa Bon Pizza was average for a New York-er but better than Buddies for pizza. Sonia Home was very nice, and tasty/
Eden Beach Resort is the closest hotel from the center of Kralendijk
Diving at the resort was decent. There was a pier with a ladder. Off to the right of the pier, around 50 yards away was a sail boat with some life. The dive shop has tanks 24 hours a day where you will get a key for the locker.
We dove Eden a few times, but mostly we traveled the island for shore diving in old beat up pickup truck. We did not see any large animals. We did see many barracudas, blennys, and a lot of lion fish. My most enjoyable dive was the Hilma Hooker, a 70 meter cargo ship.
