Deep Blue View - Bonaire
DEEP BLUE VIEW - BONAIRE REVIEW
All aspects of the Goood operation (Goood Resort and Goood Dive) are top notch. The resort is private, with only 5 air conditioned rooms and is very well kept. There is a lovely garden with a pool and hot tub and a row of covered hammocks. Menno and Esther, the owners, are just the kind of hosts you want....friendly, full of great suggestions for dive spots, restaurants, etc., and yet will give you privacy. This was our fourth trip back and it is amazing how hard Esther and Menno work at making sure the property is beautiful and your stay is all you want it to be. Breakfast is included in your stay and Esther is the breakfast goddess. There is fresh fruit, yogurts and cereals and cooked to order options such as Dutch pancakes or omelets. You will miss those morning treats when you are home. There are two guest refrigerators and you are welcome to use the kitchen or outdoor grill to make your own meals.
Menno (with divemaster Irene) makes diving so easy. The resort has new tank fill system is so quick and easy to use. It's nice to be able to control your fills and to be able to get tanks whenever is convenient. Boat diving with Menno, on his 36 ft dive Newton, is a pleasure as you are not rushed in or out of the water and you are allowed to dive at your own level. You will be able to get to the Klein Bonaire sites daily, plus there is a day spent up in the park for sites that you may not get to otherwise. So, if you need help and feel safer staying with Irene or Menno, you will be well tended, but if you are experienced and comfortable you will not be hovered over. Plus, if the hunting is good and you want to do some cooking, there may be some lionfish fillets in your future.
The whole operation, from the rooms, food, to tanks and gear, runs smoothly.
