The ecosystems surrounding the four islands of St. Eustatius are characterized by their unique underwater landscapes. These environments consist of stretches of volcanic rock adorned with a diverse array of marine life. Both hard and soft corals, sponges, and other tunicates adorn the rocky surfaces, creating a rich and varied marine ecosystem.

Divers exploring the underwater pinnacles will encounter large gorgonian sea fans and impressive barrel and chimney sponges, particularly at deeper sites. In addition to these fascinating formations, elkhorn coral gardens grace the waters, offering a visually stunning and vibrant underwater experience.

The waters surrounding these islands are known for their diverse marine life, including several species of sharks. Commonly found species include Caribbean reef sharks, black-tip reef sharks, and nurse sharks. However, these waters also occasionally attract more formidable visitors, such as hammerhead sharks, tiger sharks, and bull sharks, making it an enticing destination for divers seeking encounters with a wide range of marine life.

Statia Divers, located adjacent to Bobbie's Beach Club within the Golden Rock Resort, offers a distinctive diving experience amidst the enchanting Caribbean setting. The pride of this diving center is its expansive man-made, ocean-fed lagoon perched on the cliff's edge, with the added allure of an American School Bus concealed at a depth of 9 meters (30 feet), providing divers with indelible underwater adventures right here on St. Eustatius.

At Statia Divers, a proficient dive team stands ready to serve, equipped with qualifications spanning from teaching Discover Scuba Diving to Divemaster courses. Guests can anticipate valet-guided dives that cater to individual comfort levels and expertise.
