Worldwide Dive and Sail Set to Offer Access to Galapagos
The owners of Worldwide Dive and Sail have been working on a new liveaboard brand, Master Liveaboards, that will be a separate entity from the Siren Fleet. The concept of the new brand will be a mix of liveaboard vessels, offering diving in fantastic locations worldwide. Some of these boats will be solely owned by Worldwide Dive and Sail, some will be partner boats. With this venture comes exciting news: the Worldwide Dive and Sail team are set to become the sole marketing agent for Deep Blue liveaboard, bringing the vessel into their new brand, Master Liveaboards, to operate as the Galapagos Master.
With amendments to licensing and some boats needing to withdraw from operation, Worldwide Dive and Sail fully appreciates that there are now fewer spaces for divers to what is one of the world’s top dive spots and are therefore stepping up the final stages of arrangement with the owners of Deep Blue. The Deep Blue vessel will continue to operate the whale shark season until November, when she will be brought into dry dock for a full refit. Much is needed to bring her to the operational standard required to be a member of Master Liveaboards, such as new engines and new generators, along with installation of new communication and safety technology. Worldwide will provide expert consultation by master boat builders Frank and Jan Van der Linde, and provide a modern and thorough liveaboard operation model as well as rigorous training in all aspects of liveaboard and safety management. With these and other improvements, Worldwide intends for the Galapagos Master to become the safest and most environmentally friendly boat to operate within the Galapagos.
The Galapagos Master will be re-launched in May 2015 for the start of the whale shark season (May-November) and will operate year round in order to also cover the ray season (December-May). This vessel has a capacity of 16 guests and new itineraries are being finalized now.
